Carmelo Anthony was unhappy with the coach and wanted to leave the New York Knicks, but Mike D'Antoni came first and resigned from his position. Phil Jackson could come on as the new coach. The change seemed to be good for the team as the Knicks beat Portland at Madison Square Garden. By the way, Dwight Howard now says he does not want to be traded. Can he make up his mind? In the Champions League, Real Madrid and Chelsea were the last two teams to qualify for the quarterfinals.

It looks like Dwight Howard will join the Nets in their move to Brooklyn. Russian hockey league KHL will play some regular season games in the United States, starting with the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn (S0 much Brooklyn, huh?!?!). Wide receiver Randy Moss has signed a contract with the San Francisco 49ers. In the UEFA Champions League, Bayern Munich cruised to the next round with a crushing 7-0 victory against Basel. Marseille eliminated Inter Milan. And, in the NHL, the New York Rangers beat Carolina, while the Islanders lost against Washington.

The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to Larry Johnson, Stephen Curry, George Wilson, and Dutch swimming legend Pieter Cornelis Ruud Martijn van den Hoogenband (featured with his full name today). On this day in 1960, Wilt Chamberlain set an NBA playoff record of 53 points in a game. A new rumor suggests that the recent outrage in Afghanistan was not caused by the burning of the Quran, but by the deletion of a Rudy Report, which is understandable, today on "National Open an Umbrella Indoors Day." As you know, the Rudy Report never jumps on hypes, fiercely protecting its journalistic reputation. However, there are fans that only show up when teams are doing well. We're talking about the fans that don't come to games when their team is losing. They are called the bandwagon fans...

It looks like Peyton Manning will make a decision about his next team soon, and it may be the Arizona Cardinals or the Denver Broncos. March Madness is officially starting on Thursday. And, in the NBA, the Knicks lost against Chicago.

The Rudy Report would like to welcome you back from the weekend, where you spent two grueling days without a report, but we're here to fix that, today on "National Workplace Napping Day." It has been a good year so far, except for Whitney Houston and the people of Homs (look it up on the map), and that's mainly because we are in the positive Year of the Dragon. You like dragons, right?!?!

March Madness is ready to begin with Kentucky, North Carolina, Michigan State, and Syracuse being the top-seated teams in the NCAA men's basketball tournament. The New York Giants have released running back Brandon Jacobs, because they failed to agree on a new contract. Get ready for some trades this week in the National Basketball Association. In the Premier League, Chelsea and ManU won their games, while both Liverpool and ManCity lost. Everton beat Tottenham 1-0, and Arsenal will play against Newcastle tonight. In the NBA, the Knicks had their fifth straight loss, this time against Philadelphia. Not so Linsane anymore... And, in the NHL, the New York Rangers beat the New York Islanders 4-3, thanks to an overtime goal by Marian Gaborik in the final seconds.

The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to Darryl Stawberry, Vernon Law, Casey Mears, Tobias Schweinsteiger (that's Bastian's older brother), and Australian running sensation Ben Offereins. On this day in 2009, Bernie Madoff plead guilty in New York to scamming $18 billion, which is the largest scam in Wall Street's history.
