Super-Hero Of The Month
Written by Rudy on March 27, 2009 - 3:18 am -Well, the Rudy Report has had a word or two with Twitter, but there is no resolution or explanation so far, starting a fierce Round 4 of "Rudy vs. Twitter", today on "National Joe Day" (everyone who hates their name can be called "Joe" today, except for Joes). Well, most people in the world are just "Average Joes", but there are also heroes who save lives and make our cities safe. The Rudy Report Super-Hero of the Month, however, combines two great characters in just one name, making this young Singaporean guy truly special: Batman bin Suparman (see picture below for proof)...

Former Knicks coach Isiah Thomas might become the new LA Clippers coach. Quarterback Jay Cutler is negotiating with the Chicago Bears. In the NCAA tournament, Villanova kicked out Duke, and Missouri surprisingly beat Memphis. Pittsburgh and UConn also advanced to the Elite Eight. In the NHL, the New York Rangers had a tough shoot-out loss against Atlanta.
The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to David Coulthard, German soccer legend Hansi Pfluegler, and former Swiss cycling superstar Tony Rominger (how many of you remember him? If you ever heard of him that is). On this day in 1970, the Concorde made its first supersonic flight. The Yankees have dismissed rumors that they are interested in signing Brewers centerfielder Mike Cameron. The NCAA basketball tournaments continues today. The Knicks reached a low-point after losing against the Clippers last night. And, the New York Islanders got destroyed 6-2 by Minnesota.

But on a more serious note, can you believe that it has already been a year since you last celebrated "National Furniture Refinishing Day"? By the way, next year, the Olympic Games will take place in Vancouver and several new sports competitions will be introduced. Among them is ice wrestling, which surely won't disappoint. Here's a beautiful example of a piledriver on the ice...

Lance Armstrong had an accident in a race and now his participation in the Tour de France is in danger. Don't worry, his cousin will probably stop by and fix everything... Tomorrow, NCAA college basketball teams will try to achieve what Octomom already achieved several weeks ago: the Elite Eight. And, in the NHL, the New York Rangers beat the Minnesota Wild.

Trust me, this is only Round 1 of "Rudy vs. Twitter." In any case, the March Madness NCAA basketball tournament is in full swing and Arizona has kicked out some favorites (not literally, like in the picture below)...

A-Rod still has not said a word about allegations that he might have hired callgirls. You know it's bad when you much rather want the press to focus on your steroids abuse... UFC officials are currently working on getting legal approval to bring mixed martial arts fighting to New York, where the sport is illegal. The Knicks lost against Orlando again. In the NHL, the Devils lost against Philadelphia. And Japan won the World Baseball Classic, defeating Korea 5-3 in the final.
The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to Chris Bosh, Peyton Manning, and the Undertaker. On this day in 1936, the longest game in NHL history was played between Detroit and Montreal. Detroit scored at 16:30 of the 6th overtime, winning the game 1-0. March Madness Lite
Written by Rudy on March 23, 2009 - 4:36 am -The Rudy Report is suggesting a 90% tax penalty on government officials who failed to properly submit their tax statements, today on "National Role Model Day." For the sports community, there is currently only one topic and that's March Madness. It's exciting to see young kids at the beginning of their careers take on each other in exciting games. However, the recession has also taken a toll on NCAA basketball, resulting in budget cuts as you can see in the picture below...

A-Rod is becoming A-Spitz after getting himself into yet another scandal. Apparently, he has been seeing women of a callgirl ring. Let's hope he wasn't involved with his cousin... In the quarterfinals of the Champions League, the top games will be Bayern Munich vs. FC Barcelona and Chelsea vs. Liverpool. In England, Manchester United lost against Fulham, Chelsea had a loss against Tottenham on the road, Arsenal beat Newcastle, and Liverpool crushed Aston Villa 5-0.
On Saturday, the Knicks lost once again, this time against Orlando. The NCAA basketball tournament continued over the weekend. All favorites are still in the competition. Arizona is the biggest outsider as the No. 12 seed in the Midwest. And, in the NHL, the Rangers lost against Ottawa, while the Devils lost against Boston.
